Links Monday

Welcome to our new weekly installment of Links Monday where we make a collection of clickable text portals to other sites we enjoyed reading, interesting discoveries, or just things that gave us a laugh. Shall we begin?
Amazon Reviews
Aren’t you tired of reading reviews of books that are by customers who actually read them? Well I certainly am, and so is the Amazon member that goes by the name of “Jon Swift”, the author of Glliver’s Travels if you didn’t know. Jon reviews books that he has never read, and it is refreshing. A little more digging shows that he has a blog as well, which you can read here. As a little taste of what you will see there, I give you his blog subheading:
“I am a reasonable conservative who likes to write about politics and culture. Since the media is biased I get all my news from Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and Jay Leno monologues.”
And his most recent post as of today is entitled “Kidnapped Fox Newsmen Let Us Down By Not Dying”.
All of us here at foxchasefive support his blogging endeavors and are closely following it with our NSA wiretrapping-like eyes. Enjoy
Freak accident kills beloved croc’ hunter
If you didn’t know already, and it happened only yesterday, the beloved Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, died at the young age of 44 in a freak accident. No, not at a croc’s mouth, but he was tragically stung in the chest by a stingray barb, penetrating his heart. Foxchasefive sends all the condolences we can offer to the close family, and the web seems to be interested in this story as well. News sites that showed the story were slowed down by the massive amounts of traffic causes by many readers who thought the story was fake. But newspapers have begun reporting it today and even the Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, sends his deepest sympathy as well. Our hats go off to a man of entertainment, sensibility, and great character. R.I.P. Steve Irwin (1962-2006)
That is all for this week. Come back next week for more links.
